nice to meet you
My name is Ann Poe. I am a want-to-be writer who is coming to the blog world later in life. I have loved reading and writing all my life, and have had a keen interest in true crime since middle school. I spent nearly 15 years of my career working on criminal cases as a trial assistant, then later helping child abuse victims as an advocate.
This blog is my attempt to merge my love of writing, my interest in all things true crime and my desire to advocate for victims. I hope readers will enjoy it. Maybe you will find information you didn’t already know, or see one of these cases from a new perspective. Whatever you’re looking for in this genre, I hope you find it here!

Kindness is the key. Let’s all be responsible for spreading as much kindness as possible to those around us – that includes face to face or on the internet. Obviously, everyone will have opinions about these stories, how the story is presented and sometimes our opinions will collide.
That’s okay. Isn’t that what’s great about humans – that we are all different? Let’s just celebrate that.
